Sometimes called “shadowboxing”, tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that is known for its flowing nature. Each posture and movement involves a slow, methodical transition aimed at enhancing one’s Chi or life force. Classes at AWAKEN are guided by Ben Parlopiano, a master. Ben is known for his patient guidance as his students continually enhance their technique. The benefits of tai chi include improved balance and coordination, decreased anxiety / stress, increased strength and flexibility.
